Oenofrance’s laboratories are available to provide French winegrowers with oenological assessment and advice.
We assist winegrowers, cooperative wineries and vintners by providing them with a comprehensive service including analytical follow-up of wines and customized technical advice.
Our laboratory oenologists are experienced, specialized professionals who combine their skills as oenologists with those of chemists, analysts and expert wine tasters.
Some of our laboratories are COFRAC (Comité Français d’Accréditation) certified, and also take part in comparative testing between different laboratories.
LABORATORY
- Standard analyses of musts and wines (available nitrogen, total acidity, pH, alcohol content, volatile acidity, SO2, etc)
- Test for protein and tartrate stability of wines
- Microbiological analyses to prevent risk of contamination during ageing and in bottles (acetic acid bacteria, lactic acid bacteria, yeasts including Brettanomyces, etc).
- Detailed analyses: geosmin (mustiness), haloanisoles (cork taint), etc.
TREATMENT AND FINING TRIALS
In the lab, we test various products at different dosages so as to determine the most effective treatment to rectify wine or improve its quality.

To help you throughout the wine-making process, Oenofrance's oenology consultants provide you with advice suited to your needs in the following areas: preparation for competitions, blending, preparation for bottling, tasting commentaries, etc.
